Abstract

|
The surgical treatment of C.N.S. cysticercosis is infrequently encountered in Korea. The majority is reported from Chile, Poland, Mexico, Spain and Japan. A few cases have been reported in Korea invading C. NS. Man ordinarily serves as the definite host of the adult Tapeworm. The clinical manifestation is quite few unless they invade brain, encysting in cerebrum, cerebellum & ventricles. This report concerns a 36 year old male infested with cysticercosiss in whom the lesion was masqueraded as a parasagittalglioma in the preoperative diagnosis.
Clinical symptoms and signs disclosed evidence of a classic parasagittal lesion with contralateral motor weakness and headache. Surgery underwent with removal of the cystic tumors.
